SEE ANNA'S NEW WORK ON HER BLOG: Painting Bunnies!

This was my donation for the Small Graces auction, to benefit the Foundation for Children's Books!

Read more about the project here.

This image has been sold, thanks for bidding!

Here are some samples of the art for my new book What Can You Do with an Old Red Shoe?,
which will be published in spring of 2009. This is a green activity book about recycling the things each character loves.

This is my snowflake for the Robert's Snow fundraiser for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. This little hand painted wooden snowflake was auctioned off in the fall to raise money for cancer research.

This little owl I painted for The Owl Project!

Keene State College celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2009. The Children's Literature Festival at Keene State maintains an extensive gallery collection of children's book art. The proceeds from the sale of items using owls painted for the festival will be used to maintain the gallery.

I've just finished the illustrations for Priscilla and the Hollyhocks, written by Anne Broyles.
This book will be published in the Spring of 2008! Here is a little sneak peek...

Some finished paintings for a Harcourt Decodable book about Ouzels (also called American Dippers).
These birds dive under the water to look for food.

Some images from projects I'm developing. A ballet bunny, a capoeira bunny, and a bird who loves to spell!

These are paintings I've been working on for a book titled 'Sleepy Birds'
with Charlesbridge publishing. I am trying out a new technique using acrylic paint.
Its a little more graphic and spare than some of my other work.
I've been looking at Japanese wood block prints and Gauguin paintings for inspiration!

These paintings I made to sell at an arts and crafts sale for female artisans.
They are small, roughly 6 x 8 inches, and painted in acrylic on small pieces of wood.

Here are some sketches from a book concept I am working on about
various characters finding ways to recycle and re-use the things they love.

A little side project: last spring I started decorating t-shirts!
I sold them at an arts fair for Boston area artists.
